The abundance of caution being exercised across the country is forcing many parents to think about how they will take on a distance-learning experience on top of everything else over the next few weeks.
I am one of these parents.
Yes, I am thrilled to have my children home safe with me, but I also know that I need to figure out how to manage the delicate balance of a working parent. Like so many of the superparents in your school’s community, I am ten thousand percent committed to my family, my children, my work, my team, my students, and my clients, but I know I cannot do it all, all of the time. And this is one of those times.
Over the next few weeks, my priorities are to make my children’s distance-learning experience the best it can be (they are 2nd and 4th graders, mind you), keep the HelloMethod remote offices productive, and deliver on our active (and exciting) content marketing projects.
So what gives, then?
Well, our Monday posts and emails will have to.
We absolutely love working on the HelloMethod blog and are constantly encouraged by the positive feedback we receive from our audience. For the next few weeks, however, we need to refocus the Monday hours we dedicate to sharing strong ideas with school marketers to our families. So, effective tomorrow, the HelloMethod blog and email sends will be on extended leave.
Before we sign off, allow us to leave you with a few strong ideas you may want to consider in order to share some relief with your parent community during extended closures and distance-learning implementations:
